SWIMMING AGAINST THE CURRENT HEALTHCARE CHALLENGE

Presently, the state of our government and economy isn’t anything to write home about, and the repercussion is suffered mostly by the lower-class citizens. However, giving my time to volunteer for THF has given me some hope that it will all be well.

My volunteer experience has been an emotional and educational one. I learned that quality healthcare and restructuring won’t be enough to fix the challenges faced in the country’s health sector. Other factors such as Affordability should be very much considered. A structured welfare or benefits system that caters to indigent patients should be established to help meet them at the point of their very needs. But in our own capacity, THF has decided to reach out to those who have found themselves in such situations where they cannot pay their bills nor have access to quality healthcare due to funds constraint.

This is one of my most fulfilling engagements and I give thanks to God for allowing us to be able to lend a helping hand but I also had the thought there are others out there who needs help too, So we need to join hands and partner with other organizations to assist.

“It is part of our responsibility to look out for the wellbeing of our fellow humans” this is one of the best routes to get past our current healthcare situation.

OKENWA, Prince Joshua.
